We do most
of our cooking in sunflower oil.
Reason?
Sunflower oil is light in taste and appearance and supplies more Vitamin
E than any other vegetable oil. It is a healthy choice… high in
good and low in bad fats.
We don’t use
any palm oils, coconut oil, lard or beef fat in our cooking
We use boneless,
skinless breast of chicken, which is relatively lower in fat. For a healthy
starter option, why not try our Chicken Tikka,
which is chicken breast marinated with spices, ginger, garlic and low
fat natural yogurt, making it a really healthy option low
in fats and carb.
We use only low
fat yogurt in all our marinades, chutneys and raita.
King Prawn Tandoori would be great starter for
any one who wants to avoid extra carb and fat.
Want to stick
to low GI rice and breads? Add some Wholemeal Naan
or Chappati or Wholegrain Rice to your order.
We like to tell our Chappati
story to everyone…It’s made from traditionally stone ground
100% wholegrain wheat flour. We make the dough every evening using fresh
water and a pinch of salt. So even if you are eating our chappatis as
7pm, the dough is only 4 hours old and the chappati is rolled when you
order for it…It can’t get any fresher than this, can it?
Go for Saag
Aloo, Asparagus, Cauliflower Bhaji, Tawa
Green Beans or Kidney Beans Curry. Why?
These are great sources of dietary
fibre that helps keep unwanted
pounds off, helps maintain normal cholesterol and blood sugar level.
Our Daal? We
take four different lentils and boil them with some turmeric, salt and
all that goes in your Daal Tarka is some cumin seeds, freshly chopped
garlic, onion, tomatoes, spice (which we grind ourselves), sunflower oil
and fresh green coriander. Sounds
good? Tastes even better!
